MYMCA Youth Services have successfully run programs within the community and secondary schools since 2006, providing a range of educational, recreational, and Wellbeing programs for young people aged 12-25 who live, work or attend school in Manningham. Each local secondary school is offered a number of free programming hours (to find out more about the free program hours, please contact the Program Coodrdinator on 9848 5400). Programs are also available to local youth focused services, agencies and organisations who may be seeking to run a program with their youth groups. Programs vary and range from Respect (Anti-Bullying), Emotional Health, Depression & Anxiety, Body Image as well as recreational based programs and more. We have set programs and can also tailor or create new programs to suit the particular needs of schools and their students and teachers.
Youth Services programs also extend outside of the formal, traditional educational settings of school and learning by running a number of Programs that involve a committee of local youth, who have ownership and participation in the processes and development of the School Holiday Programs (MYSA) and the provision of Youth Events - FReeZA. Details on these programs can be found in the 'About Us/Join a Committee' page.
