The Manningham YMCA Youth Services are funded by Manningham City Council to provide a generalist youth service for young people aged 12 - 25 years who live, study, play or work in the city of Manningham. Services provided by Manningham YMCA Youth Services include: INFORMATION AND REFERRAL: Manningham YMCA Youth Services provides information and expertise around all youth related topics, programs and services. EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES AND PROGRAMS:
- Support: We provide one on one support for young people in need and where needed we offer free counselling for up to 8 sessions per client. We design a personalised plan for every young person and liaise with other local youth services to achieve positive outcomes identified by the young people. - School Programming: We develop and facilitate programs/workshops in local schools to support and educate students. All programs are tailored to the needs of the school. Currently we offer programs around bullying, peer support, personal development, girls' issues and respect. We also offer recreational activities to local schools. - Community Programming: We offer support groups and activities responding to identified needs and issues in the community. These programs are typically targeted to disengaged or disadvantaged young people.

PARTICIPATION & LEADERSHIP: - School Holiday Programs and Recreational Activities: Each school holiday MYMCA Youth Services offers a range of activities for local young people. Check our the MYSA page for updates.
- FReeZA: We run this state government funded music program centred on a committee of young people developing, implementing and managing live music events held locally for their peers. FReeZA also provides opportunity for up coming youth bands and musicians to develop live performance and audience experience. Check the FReeZA page for up coming events.
- Personal Development Opportunity: YMCA Victoria provides invaluable resources and opportunities for young people to participate such as UNO-Y, a leadership camp designed to promote personal development and peer skills amongst participants.
- Leadership Groups: Manningham YMCA Youth Services run groups for young people where they get the opportunity to develop their leadership skills by managing events and activities for their peers. Learn more about our leadership groups.

DISABILITY SERVICES:
- The Leisure Access Program (LAP): LAP is a social and recreational program for local young people with a disability. The program is divided in to three groups with activities tailored to meet the needs and interests of the group's participants. School holiday programs (SHLAP) are also held each term break. Current programs are available from our LAP page.
- TwYlight Disability Disco: Held four times per year, TwYlight is a disco for young people with a disability run in partnership with the TRY Activities Centre Doncaster and The Rotary Club of Doncaster.
- The Staying in Touch Group (SIT): SIT is a partnership program between Heatherwood Parents and Friends Group and Manningham YMCA - Youth Services to provide a social support group for young people leaving Heatherwood School. It is designed to continue friendships developed at school.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:
- Manningham Youth Providers Network (MYPN): Manningham YMCA - Youth Services facilitates and convenes this network of local youth services to promote services and programs and promote service coordination between organisations. Find out more about MYPN.
- Billy Online Youth Magazine: delivered quarterly to subscribers' inbox, providing information on topical youth issues, events, news, reviews as well as valuable resources and support links. View the current & previous editions & subscribe.
- Health Promotion: Youth Services promotes good health by distributing information and by being involved at local events and festivals. All our programs and services are designed to improve the health and wellbeing of local young people.
- Volunteers: A large part of Youth Services is supported by the generous time and effort provided by volunteers. We continuously offer local opportunities for people to be involved in supporting, promoting and developing our young people. View our Volunteers page.

PLANNING AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT: Manningham YMCA Youth Services are involved and provide input into the development of local and state government policies and plans that have an impact on young people.
