The Fusion Youth Committee is the Manningham sector of the FReeZA Program and are responsible for the development and implementation of local drug, alcohol and smoke free youth events. FReeZA encourages its committee members to take full responsibility for the planning, implementation and management of all their events with the support and assistance of Lachlan, the FReeZA Project Worker as well and the rest of the Youth Services Team.

                            

Through youth-led FReeZA committees, young people have the chance to:

- decide what types of events and cultural activities are performed in their community;
- help create music events and cultural activities in their community;
- make decisions and lead projects;
- participate in their communities as volunteers; and
- form close networks with local businesses, schools and other community organisations.

In 2008, there was a network of 77 FReeZA Committees in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria who will run over 450 events with an attendance of over 130,000 young people in over 110 venues over the State.

FUSION is open to young people aged 12 to 25 who wish to represent their local youth culture, gain experience in event planning, development and management and participate in various mentoring programs to further their career path, or simply an interest in the music industry.
